Get in Touch

Menard County Busted Mugshots is a private reference service, not a government office. It cannot confirm custody, confirm a release, post bond, or pull an official booking record. The agency, jail, court, or corrections department that holds the record must answer those questions directly.

Where to Request a Record

Use the contact that matches the record you need. The Sheriff handles the county detention route, the city agency handles its own incident report, and the Circuit Clerk handles the court file. Put a booking-photo request in writing so the custodian can identify the record and any exemption.

Clerk information

For a booking record or photo, describe the name, agency, date, and record sought. The county’s posted information gives copy fees but no photo-specific release fee or guaranteed photo timetable. Ask for an electronic copy and a written explanation if a field or image is withheld.

Choose the Right Office

These routes answer different questions. A current roster result is not the same as a police report, and a court disposition is not a booking photo.

  • For a current county inmate, use the Menard public-safety portal. It is a current-custody view and may display a Mugshot column.
  • For a Petersburg arrest report, contact the Petersburg Police Department at 122 South Sixth Street, Petersburg, IL 62675, (217) 632-7137, or petersburgpd@casscomm.com. No public booking feed was verified.
  • For an Athens incident report, use Athens Police Department at 210 Dottie Bednarko Drive, Athens, IL 62613, (217) 636-8729. The city’s FOIA page lists written requests, 50 free standard black-and-white pages, then 15 cents per page, and the ordinary five-business-day response with a possible extension.
  • For a Greenview municipal record, use the Village Clerk at 106 East Washington Street, P.O. Box 358, Greenview, IL 62642, (217) 968-5314, or gviewclerk@greenview.illinois.gov. The village’s public-information page says the first 50 pages are free, then 10 cents per page.
  • For a state-sentenced person, use the Illinois DOC offender search or its FOIA office. IDOC is not the just-booked county roster.
  • For a federal sentenced person, use the BOP locator. For immigration detention, use the ICE locator. Neither supplies a complete county mugshot feed.
  • For a warrant question, call the Sheriff or ask the Circuit Clerk about the public docket. There is no verified working public Menard warrant-result page.

Questions About This Service

Questions about these reference pages can be sent through the channel provided by the service operator. Messages cannot change a government roster or compel an agency to release a record. For a correction, sealing order, expungement, or current custody question, contact the originating office and keep its response with the relevant case information.
